1. About InstallerHub
InstallerHub is a lead-matching service connecting homeowners with independent local tradespeople across Scotland. InstallerHub is operated by InstallerHub Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC885689, registered office 94 Pit Lane, Dunfermline, KY12 9FJ).
2. Our role
InstallerHub acts solely as an introduction service. We match homeowners with tradespeople by trade, location and availability. We are not a party to any contract formed between a homeowner and a tradesperson – any agreement for work is made directly between the two of them.
3. Independent contractors
Every tradesperson on the InstallerHub network is an independent contractor. They are not employees, agents or representatives of InstallerHub. We do not supervise, direct or control the work they carry out.
4. No liability for workmanship
InstallerHub accepts no responsibility or liability for the quality of work carried out by a tradesperson, any damage, loss or injury caused during or after work, any dispute between a homeowner and a tradesperson, or a tradesperson’s failure to attend, complete or charge fairly for work. Disputes over workmanship, damage or payment are resolved directly between the homeowner and the tradesperson.
5. Tradesperson responsibilities
By joining the InstallerHub network, every tradesperson confirms they hold valid public liability insurance, are fully qualified for the trades they accept, hold any legally required certification (Gas Safe for gas work, SELECT, NICEIC or NAPIT for electrical work), will contact leads promptly and professionally, and will represent InstallerHub’s standards of quality and reliability. InstallerHub reserves the right to remove a tradesperson from the network at any time.
6. No guarantee of results
InstallerHub does not guarantee that a homeowner will proceed with any job, that a tradesperson will win any specific number of jobs, or that a lead will result in paid work. Lead volume depends on homeowner demand in each area.
7. How leads are delivered
A homeowner’s lead is sent by WhatsApp to the mobile number the tradesperson gives at sign-up. A lead is never sent to more than three tradespeople. Members take fair turns by rotation, so leads are spread across the network rather than going to whoever’s fastest to reply.
8. WhatsApp opt-in
By applying to join, a tradesperson agrees to be contacted by phone, WhatsApp and email about their application and, if they join, to receive leads by WhatsApp. This can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us, though leads can’t be delivered without it.
9. Membership, payment and cancellation
Tradesperson membership is charged at the current monthly rate shown on the InstallerHub site – £60 a month per trade, with no contract. Membership fees are non-refundable except at InstallerHub’s discretion. Members may cancel at any time, with no notice period required.
10. Homeowner data
A homeowner’s contact details are shared with matched tradespeople solely to quote for and carry out the requested work. Tradespeople must not use a homeowner’s data for any other purpose or share it with anyone else.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, InstallerHub’s total liability to any party will not exceed the monthly membership fee paid in the month a claim arises.
12. Changes to these terms
InstallerHub may update these terms at any time. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
